Speeding driver found with mid-range drink driving reading by police

A man who was caught mid-range drink driving in Orange on August 24 has had his licence disqualified in Orange Local Court.

Simon Anthony Oborn, 44, of Baker Street, Spring Hill, represented himself in court on Monday.

He was fined $600 and his licence was disqualified for six months after he returned a result of 0.082 during a breath analysis at Orange Police Station.

He initially tested positive during a road-side breath test at 10.45pm after being stopped for speeding on Bathurst Road.
