Every council candidate stood for fixing the roads, but when asked how not many had feasible ideas.
This is where Cr Whitton has his merits. He had an idea and he is pushing for it.
The benefits far outweigh the cost. By all means do a business cost analysis on this idea but don't push it aside if it turns out to be expensive.
I would love to see what business plan was done on the industrial war zone that was the airport, and what the business plan was for the corner of Woodward and Summer streets. These were a waste of money.
We need better roads and we need them now.
So far as deputy mayor McRae's thought process of a new technology, that would be a huge waste of time and money in research and development alone, let alone the time to build such a factory-process plant for this unheard of or developed technology.
So, credit where credit is due for Cr Whitton. I commend you on your stance to fight for what you campaigned to fight for.
