At 12.30pm, Sophia Duncan led the school through Shine Together, at the same time as half a million other students from across the country as part of the Count Us In celebration.
“I really like this song because it’s about equality for everyone and it brings everyone together,” Sophia said.

The song was written by school students in collaboration with program ambassador John Foreman OAM, and program mentor and singer Taylor Henderson as part of a government funded initiative to promote music throughout Australian education.
The school’s music director Fiona Nell said the song is sung at the same time across Australia and at St Mary’s music students also joined in the performance.
“We learn it and we all do our own actions,” Mrs Nell said.
