Around 900 bricks have been snapped up by residents looking to claim a bit of history.
It took two weeks for the bricks to find new homes around the city and beyond.
Originally only 450 bricks were available before a second consignment of 450 were called for.
It’s not all bad news, those bricks have raised around $1400 for the Premi-Babes Association of Orange.
“There are thousands of Orange families with personal memories of the maternity ward and it’s great they’ll have a solid reminder of this building,” Mayor Reg Kidd said.
