Keen comedy fans and community members gathered at Factory Espresso to have a shot at last available tickets at the front of the venue.
In September, tickets were $70 and sold out in two hours.
On Thursday, the last two sold for $500 after Deidre and Norm Penhall won the auction, thanks to bidder’s agent Chris Tyack.
That money will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Orange (RMHO).
Mrs Penhall said having a sick child was distressing and having Ronald McDonald House in Orange helped.
“It helps all the people who have to come in from out of town,” she said.
“It means a lot to them and they don’t have to go to Sydney.”
Factory Espresso owner Nick Gleeson said the tickets were the best in the house.
“It’s a good result, that money will go a long way,” Mr Gleeson said.
He said a few early offers under the $1000 mark were received, “but we had to decline them and stick with auction plan”.
Real estate agent Gary Blowes stepped in officiate, he said the auction of two tickets wasn’t the most unusual thing he had auctioned.
“I [once] auctioned off some dart players for a friendly game and it was a bit of hard work,” Mr Blowes said.
RMHO’s executive officer Rebecca Walsh said the charity appreciated the efforts of Nick and Ruby Gleeson to donate the two tickets for the benefit of the organisation.
“It should keep a room open for close to four nights for a family in need while their child is in hospital,” Ms Walsh said.
While a bid of $200 from a West Orange Motors staff member didn’t win, it was donated to RMHO.
