College counsellor Rachael Buckerfield said the event was a great success with three high schools, TAFE students and staff and community members attending.
“It’s putting [mental health] in a positive light, what people can do and where they can go for help,” Ms Buckerfield said.
“A lot of people don’t talk about their mental health, there is still stigma and people need to take the first step to get help when they need it.”
Ms Buckerfield said many people studying at TAFE could sometimes feel anxiety about studying which is why Orange College had a counsellor for students.
