Youlden partnered with Supercars Championship driver David Reynolds to win Sunday’s rain soaked edition of the Great Race.
The closest Youlden had come to winning the event was in 2003 where he linked up with Steven Ellery for a third place.
Youlden was thrilled to give Erebus Motorsport a Mount success.
“The weather reminds me of my first one in 2000. I remember that was a horrible week and that was my first week in a Supercar in those conditions,” he said.
“I’ve got a bit more experience under my belt. It’s been 18 times to get here.
““Every time I’ve driven the car this year’s it’s been really fast. I love working with Dave and the team.”
Youlden had partnered Fabian Coulthard – who finished third on Sunday – for the previous three editions of the Bathurst 1000.
