A wide variety of puns and messages were presented to passers-by at the Bathurst 1000, ranging from the mildly offensive to the deeply philosophical.
‘Good health is merely the slowest way to die,’ was the somewhat macabre message on one.
‘Sledging $5 … or two for $12,’ exclaimed another.
‘We are drunks, not alcoholics. Alcoholics attend meetings,’ another admitted.
‘Campground speed limit 20km/h. Holdens, just do the best you can,’ one mocked.
And finally: ‘He who laughs last thinks slowest.’
