Even large commercial enterprises are throwing money at the movement.

It’s hard to believe that these large companies have joined in the chorus after a serious consideration of all the social implications that are involved.

I suggest it was rather seen as an opportunity to enhance their ‘cool-and-contemporary’ reputation. 

The impression that one gains from all this propaganda is that gay marriage is a new and improved version of what’s been the basic building block of ordered society for countless generations; that gay marriage is the path to domestic bliss and improved family functioning and is the way of the future.

And then they try to legitimise their stance by calling it ‘marriage equality’.

It’s not marriage equality – it’s a deliberate distortion of the time-honoured definition of marriage. 

Move over all you people who have upheld and honoured marriage as traditionally defined, all that it is and all that it stands for; you need to make room for the new and improved definition – whether you like it or not.

Go ahead and formalise serious same-sex unions if a genuine need has been demonstrated; but please don’t call it marriage.

Because it’s not.
