The club provided three of the four grand final teams across divisions one and two, with CYMS Garden Gurus claiming the second grade premiership over CYMS Gold.
Garden Gurus started off better with an early goal to Brendan Garrard following a great pass from Dave Watson.
Gold responded almost instantly, with a goal to Sam Guimelli following a short corner and a nice flick.
The game was a tough affair with no team giving an inch, Ken Law was strong at the back and turned attackers away while the ball moved freely from one end to the other.
Eventually Garden Gurus broke the deadlock with three goals just before half-time, to Watson, Craig Brown and Dave Cowan.
They came from Tony Watson and David Brodie’s brilliant midfield play, which set up plenty of attacking raids.
Gold shotstopper Ian McDougall was strong despite his side trailing 4-1 at the break, while Greg Chapman was excellent too.
Gold manager Nicole Chapman asked her team for one last effort to try and breach the gap and while it was certainly there, it was to no avail as Joe Clayton and Tony Rodd combined to keep the young side scoreless in the second half.
Dave Watson was able to knock another goal in to seal the 5-1 victory for Garden Gurus.
Gold was well served by Mitch Watts, Ian McDougall and Guimeli, while Garden Gurus played very well, as a team up and down the field.
