Owners buy rusting bodies, pull them apart and then begin a lengthy hunt for all the missing pieces they need to create their ultimate machine.
And that’s where the swap meet fits in.
About 150-200 sellers will be offering car and bike parts plus clothing, toys and more at the Orange Spring Super Swap Meet at the Orange Showground on Sunday.
The gates open about 5am and buyers from near and far will be searching the stalls for the bits they need to complete their projects.
Mr Georgiou said the swap meet attracted buyers from interstate as well as locally.
He said not everyone could afford to buy replacement parts but a swap meet gave them the chance to swamp a part they didn’t need for one they did.
“Haggling, people love that these days,” he said.
The swap meet will run until about 2.30pm.
Sellers have until about 9am to set up a stall which will cost them $20 while admission for the public is $2.
