The preparatory, year 1 and year 2 students welcomed Woolworths manager Matthew Radburn, who brought with him an array of fruits and vegetables for the students to sample.
The morning tea was part of a health push the school is driving, and teacher Rosa Cunial said it was starting to see results, with a chorus of “mmmmms and yums” heard across the playground.
“A healthy school community involves all partners sending children the same message; in the home, school, and community,” Mrs Cunial said.
“Making healthy food choices can be beneficial not only for students but for their families as well.”
Mrs Cunial thanks Woolworths for their assistance as they try to educate the youngsters in the value of eating healthy.
“We value the community support from Woolworths,” she said.
