Orange City Council has received a development application on behalf of the school.
It would contain eight classrooms, a staff room, facilities and amenities.
Three classrooms will be on the bottom floor and five on top.
The application said it would be sited near the Allenby Road frontage of the school campus on the western edge of existing playing fields.
It would necessitate the removal of several deciduous trees and the cricket nets.
“The development is in conjunction with ongoing facilities upgrading and improvement and will not alter the existing enrolment capacity of the school,” it said.
“The classrooms and support facilities proposed by this application will enable existing facilities to be refurbished and used for other educational purposes within the current capacity of the school.”
It said the refurbishments would help the school be “current and attractive” to people contemplating it for their children’s education.
The application is on public display at the council.
Kinross Wolaroi School was approached for comment.
