This was outlined in your recent, very good editorial Homeless shelters are everyone's problem (Central Western Daily, August 17).
I understand that there are a number of options being considered.
May I suggest that one short-term option could be caravans (second-hand if suitable) added to caravan parks with decent amenity blocks across Australia.
In my opinion, this could be done quickly and easily, at a relatively low cost, and with a minimum of red tape.
Perhaps this is too simple a solution for governments to consider and take seriously, especially in today's world where commonsense is often in short supply.
