This year’s event is at the Orange Ex-Services’ Club on September 15.
Music will be provided by The Starlighters and the Canobolas Highland Pipe Band for a night of dancing and entertainment.
Chief Ken Harper will officially open the ball at 7.30pm.
Pipe band tenor drummer Tegan Walker has been involved in the band for 18 years while her dad Wayne Townsend has been involved for about five years.
She said there was a long family history of association with the band which is based in Orange.
“My mum’s family has been very involved in the band,” she said.
“I’ve got an aunt and uncle in the band and my sister’s a bag piper.”
She said there were eight drummers and eight pipers from Orange and Bathurst in the pipe band which has a history dating back to the 1920s.
Tartan ball tickets [$50] can be booked at the club.
