The extravaganza will feature 5700 students including a choir of 2700 singers, 2400 dancers, a 100-piece symphony orchestra, world class stage band, 44 solo singers and 145-featured dancers from public schools across NSW.
Of those participants, the school will send 12 dance students and 10 secondary choir students to Sydney on November 21 where they will spend two days rehearsing before performing four shows on November 24 and 25.
New teacher Kristen Lee will prepare the dancers and music teacher Lauren Aldrick will prepare the choralists, but because she has been selected to be on the Schools Spectacular production team, Amy Neve will take over during the performance week.
“I am excited to have organised the excursion for music and dance together for the first time. It will be a great thing for the 22 kids involved,” Miss Aldrick said.
“It's a great thrill for all of us, to be involved in such an exciting, massive production.”
Among the performers will be some who have taken part previously along with some first-time performers.
This year’s event will be held at QUDOS Bank Arena.
