Alexandria Nagy is based in Bathurst and released The Could Be Ring last month.

Inspired by a true story, The Could Be Ring is a romance novel about a boxer grappling to overcome his personal demons in the midst of the greatest time of his professional life.

It was written from the perspective of the woman who fell in love with him in a time of self-sabotage, moral dilemmas, addiction, and controversial love.

Having written for The Australia Times magazine for three years, interviewing Australian artists and actors, Ms Nagy said it was time for her to create something of her own to celebrate.

It took Ms Nagy two years to write the novel and a further year for editing, graphics, printing and dispatch to come to fruition.

"For me, creativity is all about vulnerability and this novel is just that - this entire creative journey has been just that," Alexandria said.
