From Monday to Thursday, nine,10, 11 and 12-year-olds are competing in sections sections for tap, jazz, classical, national character, hip hop, contemporary, modern expressive and impromptu dances.
Among the prizes are trophies and scholarships including the Bale family sub-junior scholarship, Johnson family junior scholarship, 12 years and under most promising ballet dancer, jazz dancer and tap dancer awards and the Marj Salter encouragement award for 12 years and under.
On Tuesday, solo dancers from across the Central West competed in jazz, contemporary, tap, hip hop, improvisation and national character and 11 and 12-year-olds will step up to compete on Wednesday.
Previous competitors have pursued careers with the Australian Ballet, Juilliard Dance School in New York, New Zealand Ballet, Sydney Dance Company, Washington Ballet, and Queensland Ballet companies.
