The NSW Department of Industry’s industry development director Duncan Challen said the hearing was part of two inquiries which were under way.
The hearing will be lead by state upper house member Greg Pearce.
“The NSW parliament’s state development committee is investigating opportunities to grow the defence industry to boost economic development,” Mr Challen said.
“These inquiries are a great opportunity to promote the potential of the region.”
Orange, Bathurst, Parkes and Bland shire councils, along with CENTROC, Evocities and CSU, will give evidence.
The hearing will begin from 9.45am and runs until 3.30pm.
