About 40 people attended the group’s knit-in, which was held to showcase their work for the Wrap With Love charity, encourage new people to join and seek donations of wool.
Central West Libraries reading and writing coordinator Jasmine Vidler said the Purlers have been meeting at the library since 2010.
“They’ve completed 280 wraps so far for the charity this year,” she said.
Of the wraps made this year, 120 will go overseas, 10 will go to people affected by bushfires at Dunedoo and 30 are for Housing Plus to give to people who are sleeping rough in Orange.
Each rug includes 28 squares and takes 90 hours to make.
The group welcomes donations of eight ply wool that can be dropped off at the library.
