Taking part in the eisteddfod’s speech and drama competition participants competed to entertain with their interpretations of humour, tragedy, story-telling, mime and public speaking.
Speech and drama committee member Meredie Wright said Wednesday’s participants were to work in pairs, dress in costume to present characters and impress the adjudicator Elaine Hodda with their memorisation skills.
On Thursday, the speech and drama competition continues throughout the day and in the evening, 12 and 13-year-olds will perform impromptu improvisation and impromptu mime with a junior speech and drama scholarship to be awarded by Orange Ex-Services Club.
