It is the same intersection, but diagonally opposite, where a sinkhole opened up in May causing a ute to get stuck in the hole.
A witness said he could see water pouring from the hole just before the truck arrived at the intersection.
“A truck went round the corner and the back of the truck fell in the hole,” the witness who did not give his name said.
“He gave it a bootful to get out of the hole.”
Police and Orange City Council workers rushed to the scene where the offending section was closed off.
The witness said it appeared the hole was caused by a burst water pipe under the road.
Workers began repairing the road mid-morning.
