The council held an extensive expression of interest and formal tender process for the sale of Inala Units, a 10 single-room self-care unit complex for older and disadvantaged residents, with Housing Plus announced as the preferred tender on Friday.
Housing Plus’ proposal is to maintain existing rental contributions and tenancy arrangements and implement a lettings policy that prioritises older, mature aged applicants aged 55 and older from the Blayney Shire.
Mayor Scott Ferguson said councillors are seeking feedback on the proposal and a meeting will be held at the School of Arts building in Millthorpe on Monday, August 7 to seek the feedback before a final report is determined at the August council meeting.
