John Parsons Hotel broker Greg Haines said the Great Western Hotel was trading well and in great condition, which would appeal to buyers.
“Orange is a sought-after region,” Mr Haines said.
“Bathurst, Orange and Dubbo are considered good, strong towns.”
He said just days after it was listed there had been strong interest in the property from experienced hoteliers.
“It has two commercial tenancies which can be leased, it trades well and has nine poker machines,” Mr Haines said.
STAYING CLOSE BY
SUNCORP’S agri and commercial banking office has moved closer to the centre of town, opening an office on Anson Street.
Al Hattersley said the move was part of the bank’s “long-term commitment” to the region.
“We manage customers from Lithgow to Wagga Wagga and everywhere in between,” he said.
“There’s no call centres, customers can deal face-to-face in the office or on the farm.”
SPICE ON SUMMER
IF you’re hankering for a pork belly bao bun or chicken, lemon grass and chilli, head to 134 Summer Street.
Trang Le has opened the Trang Hue eatery, serving street food from the Vietnamese city of Hue six days a week from 10.30am to 3pm.
Ms Le said after a few months the store would expand to open for dinner.
Ms Le started selling Vietnamese street food at the Orange Farmers Markets before building her own food truck.
Opening a shop on Summer Street is the next step towards a Vietnamese restaurant.
SUPPLY DIRECTORY
THE latest step in Orange City Council’s bid to create an online supply directory will unfold this week with a workshop for local businesses.
With NSW Government support, council is building a directory which would let business owners get in touch with potential suppliers.
So far 140 businesses have completed an online survey which is being used to establish the directory, and 50 businesses have signed up for the workshop.
The workshop will be facilitated by Business HQ’s Bruce Buchannan and introduced by Orange mayor John Davis.
