“We’ve changed from just offering psychology to expanding to offer other allied health services,” psychologist Belinda Harris said.
While extra services are planned, Dr Harris said four psychologists would be on staff.
Dr Harris said physiotherapy was the first service which had moved into the former Breast Screen Clinic which had been renovated.
MUMS AND BUBS
Mother and Child Physiotherapy is the first allied health service to move into Health in Mind Orange.
“Mother and Child Physiotherapy is a new business which has grown out of Lisa Milton Physiotherapy,” Lisa Milton said.
Mrs Milton said her Edward Street practise would continue to operate.
“Our services are specific to pediatric physiotherapy and the needs of women including pelvic floor conditions,” she said.
SWEET GOZLEME
Orange Kebab and Gozleme House is under new management with Mehmet Sakinan taking over.
It’s not only kebabs, with Mr Sakinan adding sweet treats like Nutella Gozleme and baklava as well as pizzas, Turkish pide, Halal Snack Packs and more.
Mr Sakinan said “everything was homemade” in the store, which opens from 9am till late everyday.
TIME FOR CHANGE
Apple City Newsagent David Tandy won’t miss the early starts with the newsagency to close on July 28.
Mr Tandy has run the business for over 15 years, adding magazines and newspapers in 2014.
“It thanks to our customers and suppliers who’ve kept us going,” Mr Tandy said.
While he’ll miss chatting to customers and suppliers, Mr Tandy said he was looking forward to spending more time with his family.
“I will enjoy some quiet time while looking for a new career path.”
Until July 28, all stock will be discounted, with up to 80 per cent off selected items.
REBRANDING
Orange’s Burns Auctions has merged its Bathurst and Dubbo branches to form Macquarie Auction Group.
“It’s a new name to bring the branches under the one brand,” owner Scott Burns said.
Mr Burns said as well as holding four auctions a month supported by nine staff.
The business will be holding one-off auctions in Wagga Wagga and Narrabri.
In 13 years in Orange, the auction house has handled commercial and industrial asset sales including the former Electrolux factory down to a garages filled with antiques.
