For Orange Wanderers, Saturday’s men's Premier League Hockey clash with Parkes United isn’t about just trying to bounce back from last week’s 8-1 loss to Bathurst Souths.

Simply, Mark Pengilly’s side has to.

With the post-season all but gone, a win will be just as crucial for the side’s confidence considering, after this weekend, Wanderers only have one more game.

The side follows Saturday’s clash with a regular bye, then another thanks to Bathurst City’s withdrawal from the competition.

After that Wanderers get one last chance to play spoiler when they face competition leaders Bathurst St Pat’s in the final regular season round.

But the Orange side has reason to be confident this weekend.

Last time Wanderers took on Parkes, the Orange side secured its first win of the 2017 season.

That one finished 7-3, a superb attacking performance from Wanderers.

Wanderers host United on Saturday, from 3.20pm.
