Have you got a treasured family heirloom gathering dust in the shed or at the bottom of a cupboard? It’s about time you made sure it was preserved safely. The Orange Regional Museum is running a behind-the-scenes information day on how it cares for historic items on Saturday, July 22 from 2pm to 4pm. Museum collections manager Allison Campbell said she was looking forward to the event.

“I’ll be showing examples and discussing the basic principles that people can use at home,” she said.” Orange City Council Services Committee chair Ron Gander said it was a great way to learn how to care for your family treasures. The event is free but you need to book at www.objectcare.eventbrite.com.au or call 6393 8444.
