Students from Canobolas Rural Technology High School got the chance to hear from youth author Tristan Bancks and find out how he writes on Tuesday.

Year 10 student Hannah Ivanoff writes short stories and appreciated learning about how Mr Bancks wrote.
“It was interesting to hear how he writes which is kind of how I wrote one my stories,” Miss Ivanoff said.
Mr Bancks is currently writing a screenplay of one his novels said he enjoyed getting to meet readers during the book tour.
“When I started out going to schools no had had read the books, so I learned to how to bring the story to life with images, video and music,” he said.
Mr Bancks told students he would sometimes take a mobile phone and go for a walk, writing as he walked.
His latest novel is The Fall and now with a novels published Mr Bancks said students asked questions to get a deeper understanding of stories and “they can learn how I attack the writing process.”
Mr Bancks’ book tour will visit Molong, Blayney, Orange High School and James Sheahan Catholic High.
He will be at Collins Booksellers on Summer Street from 3.30pm on Wednesday to sign books.
