About 350 people contested the 5km adventure challenge at Towac Park racecourse on January 21.
They paid a $79 entry fee that included a T-shirt, hat, finishing medal and water bottle.
However, when the merchandise didn’t turn up some lodged complaints with Fair Trading.
A spokesperson said on Thursday they still wanted to hear from anyone who had not received the promised merchandise.
“Any customers of Outback Obstacles who are yet to receive their goods are encouraged to make a complaint to NSW Fair Trading on 13 32 20,” she said.
In March another spokesperson urged people who paid by credit card to seek a refund through their bank.
“We are currently assessing these complaints to see if there have been any breaches of consumer protection legislation,” he said.
“Customers who have paid by credit card should contact their credit card provider to make enquiries about applying for a chargeback.”
Since the event, the official website and Facebook page appear to have been closed.
The website does not list any upcoming events.
The event director Dan Gold has not answered phone calls from the Central Western Daily.
In February Mr Gold told the Central Western Daily the missing merchandise items were ordered from China and their delivery had been held up by shutdowns for Chinese New Year.
He said the items had reached his Brisbane office and said Orange runners would receive their merchandise within a week.
However runners have said that did not occur.
