The NSW Business Chamber board member has signed up for Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer, and has teamed up with Central West Performing Arts for her routine.
Ms Brown’s goal was to raised $4000 for the Cancer Council and she has almost reached her target.
“I’ve had some of my work colleagues battle cancer [as well as] friends and family,” she said.
“I’ve lost people to cancers. It’s been something that’s very close to me.”
Ms Brown said dancing was an easy way for her to help the cause.
“People say ‘I think you’re brave for doing Stars of Orange’ but the ones who’ve battled cancer are brave,” she said.
“These people who suffer are going through treatment, that’s brave.”
Ms Brown said she had the back-up dancers to help with her fun performance.
“I’d say I’m putting myself right out there and getting into the costume,” she said.
“It’s going to be out there and funny.
“I’d really appreciate any amount of support.”
Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer will be held at Orange Function Centre at 6pm for 7pm on Saturday.
