WIN News journalist Samara Gardner is a familiar face on our TV screens but soon she’ll be front and centre at Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer.

Ms Gardener has teamed up with Stepping Up Dance Factory for her routine and has raised $1629 so far for the Cancer Council.

Ms Gardener said she decided to take part as a way to give back to the Orange community.

“I feel like we all know someone who has gone through cancer or lost their battle,” she said.

“I really thought there was no better organisation than the Cancer Council, as it offers so much support.”

Ms Gardner said the community had been very supportive with her fundraising efforts.

“I’ve just been blown away by how willing people are to come on board,” she said.

“It’s a huge testament to this community.”

Stars of Orange Dance for Cancer will be held on Saturday, June 24.
