About 100 students from all years coloured in outlines of footprints on school playground paths.
Teacher Cathy Steer said the activity followed the theme of ‘Let’s take the next steps’ to reconciliation.
Students were soon placing colourful drawings inside the outlines to create a sequence of steps around the playground.
Mrs Steer said the school had also held an assembly last Thursday that concentrated on the NRW theme.
Schools throughout Orange have been involved in a range of activities as part of NRW which celebrates the relationship between Indigenous people and other Australians.
