Tony Elliot came out firing even hitting his opponent Ian Middleton in the back with a ferocious forehand drive which left Ian rattled but Tony ran out of puff going down in four.
Sonya Fitzgerald and Robyn Chapman were next on and it was Sonya that started better taking the first but Robyn’s big match experience shone through and she altered her tactics to storm home and take the match 3-1.
A very similar story in the final match with the hypo-Hungarian Tom Secheny starting the better, taking the first against the unit Darren Wooding but momentum swung towards Darren who just kept getting better as the match went on. Darren won in four meaning the trophy was won and there no need for the final match.
