Factory Espresso and Scrumptious on Summer will donate $1 from every coffee sold this weekend to The Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal door knock.
Scrumptious on Summer owner Suzy Glasby said she hoped to raise $1000 for the Salvos.
“We always get involved and support the community,” Mrs Glasby said.
“We’re doing this for the shield, trying to promote [the cause] and we hope people will support it.”
Factory Espresso owner-operators Nick and Ruby Gleeson will donate $1 from each cup as well as tips to support Salvos’ programs.
“Once a year you can give something to those who don’t have much,” Mr Gleeson said.
“In the scheme of things, it’s not that much but what you give back is.”
“We enjoy spending time in the community. The least thing we can do is support [them],” Mrs Gleeson said.
