Alongside backrowers Liam Kennedy and Jesse Buchan, Dominello is one of three James Sheahan Catholic High School students named in the state under 15s side.
But it’s the excitable young hooker that’s first to speak having just earned his first NSW Country CCC jumper.
The Orange CYMS product says he’s can’t wait to take the next step after his southern CCC outfit clicked during the trials at St Mary’s League Stadium.
“We had to got through a couple of stages and last week we went to St Mary’s with the other areas and the team performed really well, even though we had only met a couple of times,” he said.
“We gelled really quickly.”
Like Kennedy and Buchan, Dominello isn’t really sure what to expect at the next level.
“We’ll go down there and have a go. Have some fun,” he said.
The NSW Country CCC under 15s side will take on Canterbury Bulldogs, Penrith Panthers and St George Illawarra Dragons under-15 outfits during a training camp in Sydney from July 2.
Dominello says he’s looking forward to mixing it with the big boys in Sydney.
Dominello and Kennedy both play for CYMS under 15s side, while Buchan lines up in the green and golds’ under 14s.
