She was later freed from the wreckage of her Toyota Prado and taken by ambulance to Orange hospital.
Canobolas Local Area Command chief inspector Peter Atkins said the accident occurred at 1.35pm on McLachlan Street.
He said police were investigating the circumstances of the accident.
McLachlan Street, near March Street, was blocked for some time before the wreckage was cleared.
Debris was on the road and a give way sign was knocked down in the accident.
A NSW Ambulance spokesman said the woman suffered minor injuries.
He said she was taken by ambulance from the scene to hospital at 2.10 pm.
The spokesman said the other driver was assessed by paramedics at the scene.
However, they were not taken to hospital.
