Staff and teams submitted 70 entries in 11 categories for the Western NSW Local Health District’s Living Quality & Safety Health and Innovation awards.
Nicole Weston won the Translational Research category for her work on improving patient care ahead of prostate radiotherapy which was titled, “Achieving an empty rectum for prostate radiation therapy.
Sue Lovell-Smart and Ged Hawthorn won the Harry Collins award with their work, ‘Proactive prevention beats reactive control’.
And Jane De Bruyn, Kath Mcmaster, Richard Cheney won the Bob Leece Transforming Health award for their work ‘Integration at the heart of the solution’ to assist the cardiology department.
Western NSW LHD said the winners were not available for comment.
