From 2.30pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church the orchestra will perform their show More than a Waltz.
Orchestra leader Andrew Baker said while it wasn’t aimed at children, children under the age 16 were free.
He said it was an urban legend that kids had sit still during concerts with children welcome to get up and dance.
Mr Baker said Strauss, Tchaikovsky and Chopin had helped popularised the waltz.
Mr Baker said musicians would be exploring waltzes that “push the boundaries” of classical music during the hour long concert.
“It’s a fairly light-hearted concert, giving people a snapshot of a corner of classical music.”
