The board is made up of stallholders and includes newly-elected president Kai Woltmann of the award-winning Second Mouse Cheese.
“We are so excited to have an energetic and focused committee that plan to bring the Orange Farmers Market through the next phase of its growth,” Mr Woltmann said.
With consumers demanding more regional produce, stallholders have the opportunity to provide discerning food lovers with fresh goods.
The market continues to be the monthly catch up of farmers, small business owners, families and friends to talk about and celebrate the regions’ bounty.
Mr Woltmann said committee members were excited to debut a new logo, that was created to reflect the market’s focus on regional food.
“The new logo represents all the facets that make up our amazing market,” Mr Woltmann said.
“Inspiration has been drawn from the cross section of a plant representing the natural growth of produce and celebrating the producers’ process, hard work and the hand grown element of the Farmers Market.
“At the heart, or core of the logo, is the apple seeds representing Orange, the apple city. This logo will, in time be recognisable as our symbol of community and gathering, education and experiences.”
The Orange Farmers Market will be held at Northcourt from 8.30am to 12pm.
