It’s a bitter pill to swallow for the blue and golds, after the hosts shot out to a 2-0 lead against Panthers and threatened to go on with the job.
Goals to Chloe Barrett and Jade Williams early in the second half proved, despite missing several of last year’s squad, Ex-Services will be tough to beat, particularly at home.
However, the hosts’ advantage was cancelled out by a double to Amelia Leard and then further winners to Tiarna Anderson and Amy Dewar. All four goals came in the space of 10 minutes.
The Orange club will travel to Parkes for the women’s gala day anchored to the bottom of the 2017 competition ladder.
