Some of our youngsters have been travelling around the region playing in Junior Development Series (JDS) Tournaments. Among those is Megan Neville, who attended both the Bathurst JDS at the end of March and also the Parkes JDS in April. She said that she played well in both, by making it to the quarter finals, even though she was up against some strong opposition.
Another was Hugh Payne, who is only nine years of age. He played in the Bathurst JDS on a very hot weekend and played up a grade in the under 14s, ‘just for fun’, he said.
He amazingly had one win, along with some other good games. He also played in the Lithgow JDS in the under 14s and had the same results. He said that “he loves to challenge himself”.
