Man sentenced for offensive behaviour, assaulting police and resisting arrest

A man who was aggressive towards police and resisted arrest has been fined in Orange Local Court.

Justin Dargin, 20, of Palau Crescent, Lethbridge Park did not appear in court where he was fined $600 for behaving in an offensive manner, $1500 for assaulting a police officer and $500 for resisting arrest.

He was arrested after police saw a group fighting in the middle of South Terrace at 2.50am on February 18.

He became abusive towards the police officers who intervened then refused to be handcuffed.
