The group have been busy creating a quilt and toiletry bags for Housing Plus’ domestic violence crisis shelter.
“It helps people feel welcome in the domestic crisis shelter, and lets people know other people are thinking of them,” member Jenny Mason said.
Mrs Mason said the All Sorts started out as a patchwork group but have since diversified.
“We do all sorts of things, whatever we feel like doing,” Mrs Mason said.
“We’re always making things for our families and others, it’s great when what you enjoy doing can be used to help others.”
Mrs Mason said All Sorts aimed to complete a project each year.
This year it’s about Housing Plus, but in the past they’ve outfitted a room in Ronald McDonald house with quilts and made chair bags for kindergarten students at East Orange Public.
Mrs Mason said the next project would be making premature baby clothes for the Miracle Babies Foundation to be given out around NSW.
