Friends of Orange Botanic Gardens will host an Autumn Plant Sale this Saturday, with a wide range of plants and information on offer.
Committee members Libby West said the club expected a big crowd at the sale.
“Normally people are lining up at the door,” Mrs West said.
“If you’re a keen gardener, you’d be surprised what’s available.
“I think because the plants are very inexpensive and good value for money.”
Plants on sale will include native and exotic plants, gingko trees, maple trees, liriopes and salvias.
There will also be rare prostanthera plants (also known as mint bushes) which are native Mount Canobolas.
Mrs West said there was also plenty of information on hand for budding gardeners.
“There’s always someone there to explain what the plants will do,” she said.
“Plenty of people can give you advice about the plants.
“There’s usually photos of what the plant will look like when it flowers to get a good idea of what they’re going to look like.”
The Autumn Plant Sale will be held at Orange Botanic Gardens from 8.30am to 12pm on Sunday.
There will also be pre-loved gardening books and magazines.
A bird walk through the gardens will be held at 8.30am.
If you would like to donate pre-loved gardening books or magazines to assist members with their fundraising, call 0419 435 917.
Money raised from the sale will go towards projects run by the Friends of the Orange Botanic Gardens.
