Over 100 competitors from the southern half of NSW will converge on the impressive Orange track, with brothers Charlie, Oliver and Henry McLandsborough super keen to burn some rubber against some of the best young kart drivers in the state.
From Bathurst but long-time members of the Orange Kart Club, the trio is expected to be at the pointy end of their respective fields throughout this weekend’s round.
Charlie races in the Class Karting Australia 3, KA100 motor unrestricted division, Oliver will compete in the Class KA4, KA100 motor restricted series and Henry races in the Class Cadet12, Minirok 60cc motor unrestricted division, all three separately.
Everyone loves a bit of sibling rivalry, so who’s the fastest of the brothers?
We’ve been building towards this.

When asked, all three smile.
“They’re not allowed to race against each other … even in practice,” the boys' father, Greg, interjects, all three still grinning like Cheshire cats.
They’ll certainly get the chance to take on plenty of the promising young karters this weekend though, with members of clubs based out of Bathurst, Dubbo, Grenfell, Canberra, Griffith, and Wagga travelling for the zonal meet.
Good performances on Saturday and Sunday will go along way towards helping the brothers qualify for the first round of state championships, also at Orange in April.
“We’ve been racing well recently, we definitely hope to make state.” Charlie, 15, said.
“We’ve been building towards this.”
Henry, 12, said he’s been involved in the sport for as long as his older brothers have, with Oliver (14) starting five years ago.
“It’s a fun sport,” Henry added. “We’ll go 100-plus (kilometres per hour).”
Round two of the series begins on Saturday.
