In round four Col Parsons and Dave Foran defeated Aleks and Tijana Radojicic 6-1 and Peter Atkins and Gordon Dunlop combined well to defeat Sam Radojicic and Julian May in a close 6-4.

Our complex has been thriving lately due to the Spirit of Anzac display occupying the Indoor Tennis Centre.

All of their club’s usual court hires have transferred over to our club, hence our courts being utilised more each day with plenty of players taking to the courts.

We have gladly accommodated Orange Indoor Tennis Centre and hope that all players have enjoyed the outside experience.

At mixed social last Sunday, there were five courts in use, so that was great to see.

Players seem to welcome the cooler autumn weather against the summer heat.

Mary Baxter was lucky to have been drawn as the winner of the free hit voucher, that she can use in the coming weeks to get onto the court and play some more tennis.

Social will be held again this Sunday from 1.30 and will be run by committee man Alan Hubbard.

The ladies had a good hit with plenty of socializing on Thursday morning.

It’s great to see them enjoying themselves as they play and improve every week.

Play starts at 9am, so if anyone would like to join in, they are very welcome.

Coaching is in full swing and is held each afternoon after school.

Along with Hot Shots for the littlies, held every Friday afternoon.

Court hire to the public is available by appointment, with very reasonable rates.

Please phone the clubhouse on 6362 8020 to book a court and save any potential disappointment at missing out or for any information on any of the above.

Members are to please mark this down in their calendars.

The club’s  annual general meeting has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 26 at 12.30pm and will be held in the tennis clubhouse.
