Families in Orange are big winners from a new partnership with leading Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provider Camp Australia.

The new before- and after-school care programs, launched at Orange Anglican Grammar School at the start of term one, have proved instantly popular among time-poor families.

Camp Australia spokesperson Rosa Piteri said the service offered parents a “high-quality and affordable solution” to their care needs, as well as a supportive environment for students.

“Camp Australia is committed to helping local families in Orange balance work and life responsibilities whilst assisting all kids to reach their potential,” Ms Piteri said.

“We understand the complexities of modern family life and know that things don’t always go to plan, so we make our services accessible and flexible to help parents as much as possible.

“We operate on the idea that sometimes it just takes a little understanding to relieve a lot of stress for parents.”

Ms Piteri said Camp Australia was delighted to partner with the Orange Anglican Grammar School community.

“We’re delivering a tailored before- and after-school care program at Orange Anglican Grammar School, focused on bringing out the best in kids,” she said.

“Combining active games with structured and unstructured play, quiet time and a healthy snack.

“Homework is also encouraged and supported to ensure children are ready to return home at the end of a busy day.”

Ms Piteri said children also engaged in fun cooking activities.

She said this includes recipes derived from a nationally-accredited health eating cookbook designed specifically for children in after-school care.

“Children in our care will experience a safe, fun, engaging and quality program in which the time passes quickly.

“Our team is committed to supporting the needs, interests and wellbeing of local students, and we’re thrilled with our new partnership with Orange Anglican Grammar School.”

The service has run for about 28 years in primary schools across Australia.
