The Glow Hard Fun Run, which will be approximately 5 kilometres, will bring about 1000 people together for a night of neon fun.
Organiser Rod Fardell said the event was focused on fun and fitness.
“It’s about getting out there and having fun,” Mr Fardell said.
“People can walk, run, skip, dance or jump.
“You don’t have to be super fit.”
Mr Fardell encouraged families and people of all fitness levels to get involved.
“If you’re looking for an amazing, fun and eventful night where you get to laugh, sing, dance and release those endorphins then come along,” he said.
“It’s just a great night to have with friends and family.”
Mr Fardell described the event as “selfie heaven”.
“[Participants will] be covered in colour and gel,” he said.
“With all of the black lighting, it looks great.
“You can wear own wigs and tutus and we’ll have [items such as] glow bands and necklaces for sale.”
Mr Fardell said he expected people from Orange and surrounding areas to attend the event on Saturday.
“We’ve had a large contingency of people from Orange but at some of these events there are people within a one to two hour radius,” he said.
The Glow Hard Fun Run will be held at Orange Botanic Gardens, 1 Yellow Box Way from 6pm to 9pm on Saturday.
Tickets start from $30 and children under six are free.
Glow-in-the-dark gel and colour will be provided by the organisers.
It is recommended that participants wear black clothing in order to get the best results with the neon gel and colour.
There will be vans with food and hot and cold drinks available as well as a merchandise tent at the gardens on the night.
Participants will also be entertained by live music from a DJ and performances by members of a modern dance group.
Participants can sign up at the Botanic Gardens from 11am to 2pm and from 5.30pm on Saturday.
You can also sign up online until midnight on Friday.
In event of rain, the event will be postponed to a later date.
Organisers of the event support a different charity each year.
This year organisers hope to raise about $2000 for Ronald McDonald House in Orange.
