Orange and District Horticultural Society’s Autumn Flower Show will be held on Saturday and will attract flower enthusiasts from as far as Cowra, Lithgow and Canberra.
Show secretary Yvonne Tracey said the show had something for beginners and experts alike.
“It covers everybody,” Mrs Tracey said.
“It’s there for people who have one flower in their garden to people that grow especially for things like this.”
Mrs Tracey said the society always received positive feedback from their shows.
“The people who come always enjoy them very much,” she said.
“Quite often people are astounded by the different colours.”
Mrs Tracey said seasonal flowers such as dahlias were expected to be the main attraction at the show.
“The dahlias are the main flower because it is their season at the moment,” she said.
Flowers on show will include dahlias, gladioli, roses, carnations and miscellaneous flowers.
There will also be pot plants, floral art and vegetables on offer.
Flowers will be judged on the day and organiser will accept entries up until 10am on Saturday.
The Autumn Flower Show will be held at St Barnabas Hall, corner of McLachlan and Dora Streets from 1pm to 5pm.
Admission is $3 per person and children are free.
Afternoon tea will be available for $5.
