Not if you’re Canberra’s Josh Torley, clearly.
Fresh off a third placing in Sunday’s Athlete’s Foot Half Marathon at the Orange Running Festival, Torley turned around and almost immediately ran in the Hotel Canobolas 5km race.
He won too, by a lot.
Torley clocked a blistering 15 minutes and 27 seconds to win from Orange’s Mitch Williamson (17.14) – who was fresh off a second place in the 10km race – and Ethan Buesnel (18.23) in second and third respectively.
Torley, who won the 10km race in 2016, has now secured podium finishes in almost every race the Orange Running Festival has to offer.
It was a Torley that won the women’s 5km division as well, Stephanie.
Competing in the 10-11 years age group, Stephanie Torley blitzed the field to clock 18.22 and beat out Orange phenom Lauren Kerwick, who timed in at 18.53 to finish second.
